Position Overview

Modutec Ready Panels Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly capable and strategically driven Vice President Operations to lead and integrate the complete Enquiry-to-Execution value chain across our modular electrical enclosure systems business.

This role demands a leader who combines strong manufacturing and operational expertise with systems thinking people leadership process discipline and execution excellence.

The VP Operations will be responsible for ensuring that Modutec delivers:

  • High-quality modular enclosure systems

  • Faster lead times

  • Scalable manufacturing systems

  • Cost optimisation

  • Operational standardisation

  • Consistent on-time delivery

    The role requires close coordination with Design R&D SCM Manufacturing Stores PPC Maintenance and Logistics functions to create a unified efficient and future-ready operational ecosystem.

    Reporting Structure Reports To: Executive Director / Managing Director

    Direct Reporting Functions

    The following departments/functions will report directly or functionally to the VP Operations:

  • PPC (Production Planning & Control)

  • Mechanical Design Coordination

  • SCM / Purchase

  • Stores & Inventory

  • Fabrication

  • Powder Coating & Surface Treatment

  • Assembly

  • Logistics & Dispatch

  • Maintenance & Infrastructure

    Coordination Interfaces

    The VP Operations will work closely with:

  • R&D Head

  • Executive Director

  • QC Department

  • Sales & Customer Support Teams



Requirements

  1. Key Responsibilities
    1. Order Kick-Off & Cross Functional Alignment

  • Lead the operational execution process immediately upon receipt of confirmed customer orders.

  • Ensure structured Design Review Meetings (DRM) are conducted involving all relevant cross-functional teams.

  • Ensure MOMs (Minutes of Meeting) are clearly documented with responsibilities timelines and accountability.

  • Drive execution discipline from enquiry conversion till dispatch.

    2. Mechanical Design Optimisation & Standardisation

Drive
Standardisation

modular engineering practices focused on:

  • BOM-driven engineering

  • Design simplification

  • Manufacturability

  • Kitting optimisation

Ensure engineering outputs are aligned with production capabilities and scalable systems.

3. Coordination with R&D

Work in close coordination with the R&D Head to ensure:

  • Standardisation initiatives are implemented

  • New product introductions are production-ready

  • Design and manufacturing teams work in a unified direction

  • Continuous product and process improvement

    4. Supply Chain Management & BOM Release

  • Ensure timely and accurate release of BOMs through SCM.

  • Drive procurement planning aligned to production schedules and customer

    commitments.

  • Ensure strategic sourcing vendor development and inventory optimisation.

    5. Purchase Stores & Material Flow

Oversee procurement and stores operations to ensure:

  • Right material at the right time

  • Inventory accuracy

  • Proper material traceability

  • Reduced shortages and excess inventory

  • Seamless material flow to production

    6. Fabrication Operations Leadership

Lead
CNC Panel Benders

fabrication operations with strong understanding of:

  • Turret Punch Presses

  • CNC Laser Cutting

  • Press Brakes

  • Welding Technologies & Processes

  • Ensure optimum machine utilisation nesting efficiency productivity and process discipline.

  • Drive lean manufacturing and throughput improvement initiatives.

    7. Surface Treatment Powder Coating & Assembly

Ensure proper execution of:

  • ED Dip Coating

  • Powder Coating

Assembly processes
Maintain process consistency productivity and quality standards as per project

drawings and specifications.

8. Quality & Compliance Coordination

Work

  • Process quality adherence

  • Reduced rework

  • Corrective and preventive actions

  • Customer quality compliance

Drive

a right first time manufacturing culture.

Collaboratively with the QC department to ensure:

9. Logistics Packing & Dispatch

  • Lead logistics operations to ensure:
    Safe and professional packing
    On-time dispatch
    Dispatch documentation accuracy
    Coordination with transporters and customers

  • Ensure delivery commitments are met consistently.

    10. Maintenance & Infrastructure

  • Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of:

    • Production machinery

    • Utilities

    • Infrastructure

    • Factory systems

  • Improve machine uptime and reliability.

  • Drive maintenance systems and preventive maintenance culture.

    Desired Candidate Profile Educational Qualification

  • BE / BTech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering preferred

  • MBA Operations will be an added advantage

    Experience

1825 years of relevant operational leadership experience

  • Strong experience in:
    Fabrication industries

    Modular manufacturing
    Electrical panel industry
    Heavy engineering / sheet metal operations

  • Experience handling integrated manufacturing operations preferred
