PURPOSE OF JOB
Hitachi Payment Services is looking for a passionate and creativeUI/UX Designerto join our Design Team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing intuitive user-centric and visually compelling digital experiences across mobile and web platforms. This role requires a strong blend of creative thinking user experience understanding and visual design expertise to deliver engaging interfaces that align with business goals and brand standards.
As part of a fast-paced fintech environment you will collaborate closely with product managers developers business stakeholders and fellow designers to create seamless user experiences and scalable design solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
User Interface Design
Create visually appealing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for mobile web and other digital platforms.
Deliver consistent designs that align with brand guidelines and product design standards.
Translate business requirements and user needs into engaging design solutions.
Wireframing Mock-ups & Prototyping
Develop wireframes user flows high-fidelity mock-ups and interactive prototypes.
Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively.
Validate design decisions through usability considerations and best practices.
Cross-Platform Design
Design responsive and adaptive experiences across mobile tablet and web platforms.
Ensure seamless user experiences across different devices and screen sizes.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
Design Systems & Standards
Contribute to the creation enhancement and maintenance of scalable design systems.
Establish reusable UI components patterns and documentation to ensure consistency across products.
Promote design best practices and accessibility standards within the organization.
Collaboration & Innovation
Work closely with Product Engineering Marketing and Business teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Stay updated on emerging design trends tools and technologies to continuously improve design quality.
Contribute innovative ideas that enhance customer experience and product usability.
QUALIFICATION/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Required Skills & Qualifications
Professional Experience
35 years of experience in UI/UX Design Product Design or Digital Experience Design.
Proven experience designing for mobile and web applications.
Experience working in Agile or fast-paced product development environments.
Design & UX Expertise
Strong understanding of User Experience (UX) principles interaction design and user-centered design methodologies.
Excellent UI design skills with a strong eye for detail and aesthetics.
Solid understanding of typography color theory layout visual hierarchy and composition.
Ability to create intuitive and engaging user journeys.
Tools & Technologies
Advanced proficiency in:
Figma
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator XD etc.)
Lottie Animations
Rive
Familiarity with AI-powered design and productivity tools such as:
Claude AI
ChatGPT
Other design-assistance and prototyping tools
Soft Skills
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
