Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Advanced Diagnostics & Repair:
  2. Perform complex troubleshooting and diagnostics on mechanical electrical and electronic systems of LNG and EV trucks including high-voltage systems battery management systems (BMS) fuel systems and powertrains.
  3. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools software and schematics to identify and resolve complex vehicle issues.
  4. Lead and execute major repairs including engine overhauls component replacements and system recalibrations.
  5. Maintenance & Operations:
  6. Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and safety checks on all vehicles as per company standards and service schedules.
  7. Ensure all maintenance and repair activities adhere to safety protocols including those specific to high-voltage and cryogenic systems.
  8. Maintain detailed and accurate records of all service activities including diagnostics repairs parts used and labor hours.
  9. Leadership & Mentoring:
  10. Act as a technical expert and mentor for Junior Technicians providing guidance and on-the-job training.
  11. Collaborate with the Service Center Manager and other team members to optimize workflow and improve service efficiency.
  12. Assist in training new technicians on the unique technologies of LNG and EV trucks.
  13. Quality & Safety:
  14. Ensure all work is performed to the highest quality standards minimizing downtime and maximizing vehicle performance and reliability.
  15. Promote and enforce a culture of safety in the service center strictly following all company and regulatory safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Education: ITI certification in relevant trades such as Diesel Mechanic Motor Vehicle Mechanic (MMV) Electrician or other trades related to heavy commercial vehicles.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy commercial trucks.
  3. Technical Proficiency:
  4. Proven experience with EV and/or LNG technologies including high-voltage systems and cryogenic fuel handling is highly desirable.
  5. Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical and electronic systems in commercial vehicles.
  6. Proficiency in using diagnostic software and tools.
  7. Core Competencies:
  8. Excellent problem-solving analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and work effectively in a team.
  10. Licensing: Valid heavy-duty vehicle drivers license (or willingness to obtain one).
