Chart the Course for the Future of Flight
Lead the development to build demand modelling and network-level analytics that power mobility platforms. Ride-hailing platforms have solved route-level demand forecasting origin-destination pair analysis network elasticity and real-time demand signal extraction at a scale that aviation market research has historically not looked towards. We are looking for someone who brings that analytical sophistication into the aviation context.
This position requires a deep quantitative background in high-frequency mobility networks (Ride-hailing/Aviation). You will be responsible for predicting the impact our aircrafts will have in different geographies and regions of the world. This position is a combined role between technical and strategy/BD
Roles and Responsibilities
Build and own complex multi-modal demand models to simulate passenger flow and network elasticity and fleet dynamics.
Utilize historical data and external variables to forecast market penetration and route-specific demand.
Analyse market share dynamics and pricing strategies from traditional airlines and ground transportation.
Define the Go-to-Market geographical sequence based on data-driven demand clusters.
Maintain the highest standards for code quality including conducting rigorous code reviews developing comprehensive unit tests and producing clear thorough documentation.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
7 years of professional experience in ridehailing demand modelling or airliners with genuine depth in quantitative demand modelling
Proven track record in Demand Modeling and Supply-Demand Balancing at a network scale.
Proven understanding of fundamental data structures and the ability to apply them to solve complex problems.
Hands-on experience developing and implementing optimization-based solutions using libraries such as NLopt Ceres Solver g2o or similar.
Ability to oversee and peer-review high-complexity optimization frameworks
Proficiency in statistical modelling with the ability to build and run regression models not just use pre-built tools
Comfort with large messy multi-source datasets
Experience with Monte Carlo simulation or probabilistic forecasting
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with modern software development methodologies including Agile CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
Experience with GDP-elasticity or econometric demand forecasting
Rock-solid understanding of mathematics particularly linear algebra multivariate calculus differential equations probability theory
Aviation industry exposure like airline revenue management OEM market research IATA economics or aviation consultancy
Familiarity with fleet databases
Understanding of Multimodal Elasticity
