Job Description: OpenShift & Bare Metal SRE (Solution-Focused)
Role Overview
We are seeking a solution-focused Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with deep expertise in OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt) and bare metal foundations.
This role prioritizes architectural understanding and ownership over tool-specific experience with a strong emphasis on on-premises OpenShift VM platforms.
Role Philosophy
This is a solution-provider role not a keyword-driven profile.
Candidates are expected to understand the why behind on-premises infrastructure OpenShift VM management and virtualization decisions.
The ideal SRE demonstrates a solution-first mindset and end-to-end ownership.
Core Responsibilities
Design operate and support OpenShift platforms running on bare metal infrastructure.
Own OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt) based VM workloads including lifecycle management.
Ensure platform reliability scalability and operational excellence.
Act as a technical consultant providing architectural guidance and solution design.
Collaborate with application platform and infrastructure teams to deliver resilient solutions.
Core Competencies
Deep knowledge of OpenShift architecture and Operator lifecycle management.
Strong understanding of application deployment patterns on OpenShift.
Hands-on experience with OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt) and bare metal environments.
Strong problem-solving ability in complex on-premises environments.
Leadership & Behavioral Qualities
Demonstrates ownership and accountability for platform outcomes.
Able to navigate ambiguity and complex enterprise environments.
Acts as a trusted technical advisor and solution consultant.
Tools & Technologies (Secondary)
Experience with Ansible GoLang or similar tools is beneficial but not mandatory.
