State Manager – Land Surveying Equipment

Job Overview :
We are looking for an experienced State Manager to lead sales business development customer relationship management and regional operations for the companys surveying and geospatial instruments division. The organisation is a leading provider of Surveying Geospatial & Scientific Instruments across the world. The role requires driving revenue growth expanding market presence managing key customer relationships and leading sales and service teams for advanced surveying mapping and geospatial technology solutions.
Job Responsibilities :
- Drive state sales targets revenue growth and business development activities.
- Generate new business opportunities and expand the customer base across the assigned territory.
- Manage the sales cycle including enquiries demonstrations quotations negotiations and order closures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers stakeholders and key accounts.
- Monitor customer visits enquiry generation installations training activities and collections.
- Ensure profitability through effective pricing margin management and cost optimization.
- Oversee inventory management stock availability and compliance with company processes.
- Conduct competitor analysis and support marketing initiatives to strengthen market presence.
- Lead mentor and develop sales and service teams while driving performance and productivity.
- Recruit train and engage employees to build a high-performing team culture.
- Ensure timely customer support service quality issue resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor regional operations expenses reporting and CRM data accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with company policies statutory requirements and operational standards.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering Surveying Geomatics Business Management or a related field.
- 615 years of experience in sales business development or regional management within surveying mapping geospatial or related industries.
- Hands-on experience and sales exposure to TS (Total Stations) DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System) Handheld Scanners used for Smart City projects Surveying & Mapping applications.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure construction surveying and geospatial markets.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing regional business operations.
- Excellent leadership negotiation and customer relationship management skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Fluency in English Kannada and Hindi is mandatory.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
