Sr. VP Accounts & Finance

The Senior Vice President Accounts & Finance is a pivotal executive role within Asian Star a leading jewellery and diamond manufacturing house known for its precision craftsmanship and global market presence. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer the incumbent will own the full spectrum of financial stewardship ensuring that the organizations financial health is transparent compliant and strategically aligned with growth objectives.

Key responsibilities include leading the preparation and finalization of statutory financial statements in strict accordance with Indian accounting standards and other regulatory requirements. This involves supervising the general ledger overseeing reconciliations managing journal entries and ensuring that monthend quarterend and yearend closing cycles are executed flawlessly. The SVP will also be accountable for delivering accurate and timely financial reports to senior leadership providing insights that drive informed decisionmaking.

Given Asian Stars core business in highvalue jewellery and diamonds the role demands specialized inventory management expertise. The SVP will oversee inventory control processes ensuring that raw material and finished goods are valued correctly based on purity weight and industryaccepted wastage norms. Implementation and continuous monitoring of robust costing systems for both manufacturing units will be essential to maintain precise product cost visibility.

Tax compliance forms a critical component of the position. The executive will manage all aspects of direct and indirect taxation including GST TDS and Income Tax and will act as the primary liaison with tax consultants and government agencies during assessments and parallel the SVP will manage banking relationships overseeing working capital overdraft facilities and foreign exchange transactions while monitoring cash flows and fund flow statements to safeguard optimal liquidity.

Strategic budgeting forecasting and performance monitoring are integral to the role. The SVP will lead the annual budgeting cycle develop rolling forecasts and produce detailed Management Information System (MIS) reports that cover profit and loss analysis stock movements and cost variances. Strengthening internal control systems to ensure data accuracy regulatory compliance and fraud prevention will be a continuous focus.

Leadership and talent development are equally important. The SVP will manage and mentor a diverse finance and accounts team fostering a culture of high performance accountability and continuous improvement. Driving process automation initiatives coordinating with external auditors consultants and other stakeholders and championing bestinclass finance practices will round out the responsibilities of this senior executive.

Success in this role will be measured by the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting the effectiveness of inventory valuation the robustness of tax compliance the efficiency of cash and liquidity management and the development of a highperforming finance function that adds strategic value to Asian Stars growth trajectory.
