Sr Medical Editor
Job Summary
The Senior Medical Editor is responsible for a range of Editorial services including medical editing copyediting proofreading and fact checking of digital and print pharmaceutical advertising materials internal and external presentations and corporate communications. The Senior Medical Editor supports the outlook needs and requirements of the Editorial competency to maintain quality and is accountable for assigned projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Edit for language clarity and consistency brand and messaging accuracy appropriate tone overall cohesiveness flow organization client and AMA style grammar spelling typographical errors and formatting; support reviews with AI tools
- Participate in the content review process throughout all stages of a project including fact checking with accurate referencing
- Collaborate with other teammates including Editorial Creative and Project Management to assist in project prioritization and increase ease of project completion while maintaining quality
- Support coverage of agency team and launch tasks
Qualifications :
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the experience education knowledge skill and/or abilities required.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent education plus professional experience required
- 5 years of editing experience within a healthcare or pharmaceutical advertising agency environment
- Thorough knowledge of current AMA style; experience with medical/regulatory/legal reviews and familiarity with FDA requirements for drug promotion
- Demonstrated comfort and confidence with medical/pharma and industry terminology
- Extremely detail oriented thorough and accurate
- Proven experience in managing rapidly shifting priorities and deadlines in high-pressure situations
- Ability to be accountable and work independently
- Digitally savvy with excellent verbal written organizational time-management and problem solving skills
- Experienced in Adobe Acrobat Professional Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint
