Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
  • Develop and execute monthly weekly and daily production plans based on sales forecasts customer demand and business priorities.

  • Prepare and monitor detailed manufacturing schedules for Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) and Liquid manufacturing operations.

  • Ensure optimal utilization of production capacity equipment and manpower to maximize operational efficiency.

  • Track production plan adherence identify scheduling deviations and implement corrective actions to minimize delays.

  • Coordinate with Production Quality Assurance (QA) Quality Control (QC) Warehouse Procurement and Engineering teams to ensure seamless execution of production plans.

2. Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
  • Generate accurate Material Requirement Plans (MRP) for APIs excipients packaging materials and manufacturing consumables.

  • Ensure timely availability of raw and packaging materials to support uninterrupted production.

  • Collaborate with Procurement and Vendor Management teams to manage lead times and material availability.

  • Analyze material shortages forecast supply risks and drive corrective actions to prevent stock-outs and production interruptions.

3. Inventory Management
  • Monitor and optimize inventory levels of Raw Materials (RM) Packaging Materials (PM) Work-in-Progress (WIP) and Finished Goods (FG).

  • Maintain optimum inventory levels while minimizing excess slow-moving and obsolete stock.

  • Ensure effective inventory aging and shelf-life management in compliance with FIFO/FEFO principles.

  • Conduct periodic inventory analysis stock reconciliation and inventory accuracy reviews.

4. Demand & Supply Planning
  • Collaborate with Commercial Sales Marketing and Supply Chain teams to align manufacturing plans with demand forecasts.

  • Support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to ensure effective demand-supply balancing.

  • Ensure timely fulfillment of domestic and export orders while maintaining customer service levels.

  • Plan production for regulated markets including USFDA EU MHRA TGA and other international regulatory markets.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Work closely with Production QA QC Regulatory Affairs Warehouse Engineering and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth material and product flow.

  • Coordinate production planning for new product launches technology transfers validation batches and scale-up activities.

  • Participate in resolving operational bottlenecks and supply chain challenges to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing.

6. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure all planning activities comply with cGMP company quality systems and regulatory requirements.

  • Support regulatory inspections customer audits and internal audits by providing planning and inventory-related documentation.

  • Maintain planning records reports and documentation with complete accuracy and data integrity.

7. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor and analyze key PPIC KPIs including Production Plan Adherence OTIF Inventory Turnover Schedule Attainment Capacity Utilization and Material Availability.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency inventory optimization and supply chain performance.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices using ERP/MRP systems and data-driven planning methodologies.
