Job Summary

Job Responsibilities
  • Plan design and deliver individualized educational programs for students with learning developmental and physical disabilities.
  • Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies to meet evolving needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers therapists counselors and parents to create cohesive support plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance behavior and interventions.
  • Provide counseling and behavioral management techniques to promote positive social and emotional development.
  • Develop and conduct training workshops for staff on inclusive teaching practices and classroom accommodations.
  • Stay updated with the latest special education legislation best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in school-wide meetings parentteacher conferences and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Essential Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Special Education Inclusive Education or a closely related field.
  • Relevant teaching certification/license as per Indian regulations (e.g. . with Special Education specialization).
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum adaptations assistive technologies and individualized education plan (IEP) development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated empathy patience and a passion for fostering inclusive learning environments.
Desired Experience
  • Minimum 23 years of experience teaching students with special needs in a school setting.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of disabilities (e.g. learning disorders autism spectrum disorder cerebral palsy hearing/visual impairments).
  • Familiarity with the Right to Education Act (RTE) and other relevant Indian policies on inclusive education.
  • Experience in conducting assessments preparing IEPs and monitoring outcomes.
  • Ability to integrate technology (e.g. speechtotext augmentative communication devices) into classroom instruction.
