The South Indian Cook is responsible for preparing authentic South Indian dishes maintaining food quality hygiene standards and ensuring timely meal service.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare a variety of South Indian dishes such as idli dosa vada sambar chutneys rice items and meals
Ensure taste quality and consistency of all food items
Plan daily menu in coordination with management
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area
Monitor stock levels and assist in purchasing raw materials
Ensure proper storage of ingredients and minimize wastage
Follow food safety and hygiene standards
Manage kitchen helpers and ensure smooth kitchen operations
Ensure timely preparation and serving of food
Requirements:
Proven experience as a South Indian Cook
Knowledge of traditional South Indian recipes and cooking methods
Ability to cook in large quantities (for canteen)
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Good time management and teamwork skills
Required Skills:
Knowledge of textile dyeing and printing processes Strong coordination and follow-up skills Good communication and problem-solving ability Basic computer knowledge (Excel reporting) Attention to detail and quality focus
Required Education:
Diploma / Degree in Textile Technology or related field 15 years of experience in textile processing (preferred)
