Job Summary

Position: Soil & Material Engineer

Department: Quality Control / Projects

Reporting To: Site Manager / Project Manager

Role Purpose:

The Soil & Material Engineer shall be responsible for quality control material testing soil investigations and ensuring compliance with project specifications for slope stabilization soil nailing rock anchoring gabion structures and associated civil works.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct soil investigations and evaluate soil properties for construction activities.

Perform field and laboratory testing of soil aggregates cement concrete steel grout and other construction materials.

Ensure all materials used at site comply with project specifications standards and quality requirements.

Monitor quality control activities related to slope stabilization soil nailing rock anchoring and gabion structure works.

Review material test reports and recommend corrective actions when required.

Coordinate with site engineers consultants and laboratories for testing and quality assurance.

Prepare quality reports inspection records and test certificates.

Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved methodologies and specifications.

Maintain quality documentation and support project audits.

Assist in resolving material-related and geotechnical issues during project execution.

Ensure compliance with safety environmental and quality standards.

Educational Qualification:

B.E./ in Civil Engineering with minimum 3 years of relevant experience

Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 7 years of relevant experience.

Requirements

Experience in:

Soil Nailing Works
Rock Anchoring Works
Gabion Structure Works
Retaining Structures
Slope Protection Works
Experience in soil testing and construction material testing.
Knowledge of quality control procedures and laboratory testing standards.
Experience in preparation of quality reports and test documentation.

Desired Skills:

Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and construction materials.

Familiarity with IS Codes and quality standards.

Ability to interpret laboratory and field test results.

Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures.

Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.

Good communication and coordination skills.
