Software Test Engineer | Mumbai

1. Requirements Analysis

• Review user stories and functional requirements to understand expected system behavior

• Identify testing needs based on scope functionality and acceptance criteria

2. Test Planning and Design

• Develop and maintain detailed test plans test cases and test scripts

• Cover functional integration regression and UAT scenarios

3. Test Execution

• Execute manual test cases across various modules

• Validate actual results against expected outcomes

4. Defect Management

• Identify document and report defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla

• Track and verify bugs through the defect lifecycle

5. Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with developers business analysts and project managers

• Provide clear feedback on functionality usability and system behavior

6. Retesting & Regression Testing

• Retest fixed defects and ensure existing features are unaffected

• Conduct thorough regression testing during releases

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate documentation of test results and execution progress

• Prepare summary reports for stakeholders and participate in review meetings

8. Process Improvement

• Participate in daily stand-ups sprint planning and team discussions

• Contribute ideas to enhance testing methodologies and QA processes

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT Engineering or a related field

• Relevant testing certifications (e.g. ISTQB) are an added advantage
