Job Summary
1. Requirements Analysis
Review user stories and functional requirements to understand expected system behavior
Identify testing needs based on scope functionality and acceptance criteria
2. Test Planning and Design
Develop and maintain detailed test plans test cases and test scripts
Cover functional integration regression and UAT scenarios
3. Test Execution
Execute manual test cases across various modules
Validate actual results against expected outcomes
4. Defect Management
Identify document and report defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla
Track and verify bugs through the defect lifecycle
5. Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with developers business analysts and project managers
Provide clear feedback on functionality usability and system behavior
6. Retesting & Regression Testing
Retest fixed defects and ensure existing features are unaffected
Conduct thorough regression testing during releases
7. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate documentation of test results and execution progress
Prepare summary reports for stakeholders and participate in review meetings
8. Process Improvement
Participate in daily stand-ups sprint planning and team discussions
Contribute ideas to enhance testing methodologies and QA processes
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT Engineering or a related field
Relevant testing certifications (e.g. ISTQB) are an added advantage
Additional Information :
Required Skills
Strong understanding of SDLC STLC and Defect Life Cycle
Basic knowledge of SQL
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
High attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication
Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals
