Service Proposal Engineer

Reports to the Service Proposal Sub Regional Team leader / Head of Proposal Management

The Service Proposal Technician is responsible for developing cost effective Nutrition and Health (N&H) Recommended Spares Quotations (RSQ) and simple service proposals which are based on proven methods that meet or exceed customer needs. Proposal Technicians are the bridge between the commercial function the project delivery team supply chain and service execution collaborating across these functions in order to build a robust proposal deliverable to the customer.

The Proposal Technician may also assist the commercial team to identify technical specifications of customers and to present our solution.

The Proposal Engineer will follow all SPXFLOW internal processes and procedures and ensure that the service proposals which generally includes costs estimates proposal text and maintenance schedule are completed in a compliant and timely manner.

• Collaborate closely with the Commercial function to ensure customer requirements are clearly defined and understood and that a detailed RFQ analysis has been completed as required
• Understands and follows all SPXFLOW N&H internal governance and proposal approval processes e.g. QIA LEAF LOAF
• Ensure scope is defined clearly and accurately as required in accordance with customer and corporation request
• Use calculation software for equipment sizing
• Prepare the detailed costing (equipment & services) using the appropriate tool
• Build relationships with other internal departments to obtain the necessary sub-quotations or cost estimates
• Consult subcontractors in accordance with Supply Chain Management IDEF processes and procedures
• Identify and share all potential risks during governance gates events (cost scope KPIs etc.)
• Support completion and review of all documents required for LEAF/LOAF submission
• Support completion of final quotation document and the associated handover pack
• Ensure proposals are submitted to internal and external customers in a right and performant timing
• Logs all cost price and scope changes between quotation revision.
• Maintain a strong relationship and trust with Commercial Organization
• Participates in Execution Handover meetings
• Lessons Learnt feedback on closure

• Knowledge of process categories within Nutrition & Health (Food & Beverage Industry)
• Knowledge of N&H Industry maintenance activities (Food & Beverage Industry)
• Technical knowledge and experience in preparing and executing small / medium N&H service proposals

Required Education / Experience

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university; Engineering Food Technology or related discipline
• 5 - 8 years related industry experience; education and/or training in Proposals Process Engineering or Project Management; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and MS Project

Desirable

• Preferable to have good knowledge of the SPX Product range
• Maintenance Operations trained
• Health Safety & Environmental awareness
• Speak and write fluent English. Other Languages such as Danish French Spanish and/or German is an advantage
