We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role ofSenior Trustee Administrator.
In this role you will:
- Provide strategic support for rollout of new products/activities within fiduciary administrative tasks driving automation/BPR and reducing manual processing.
- Actively support fund migration and re-migration activities ensuring smooth transition into BAU.
- Support departmental initiatives across regulatory compliance and risk reduction priorities.
- Design and implement robust control mechanisms to mitigate and eliminate operational risk.
- Deliver high-quality reviews and timely completion of fiduciary administrative tasks including monitoring upstream deliverables and exception accuracy.
- Perform maker activities when required and raise/track exceptions with relevant teams to ensure timely clearance per jurisdictional agreements.
- Serve as primary contact for Business Partners on exception-related queries; act as manager backup and run operations in the managers absence.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships through timely communication and regular BAU/business calls.
- Uphold HSBC internal control standards: support audits/reviews implement audit actions on time maintain MIS/trackers complete mandatory training/IOC and follow escalation matrix for open issues.
- Strengthen team capability and delivery by cascading process updates conducting training/cross-training (including new joiners) supporting AVP (workflow strategies peer checking training reference) contributing to UAT when needed and driving root-cause fixes to improve quality/productivity across global counterparts.
To be successful you will:
- Bachelors degree in Commerce (minimum requirement).
- 35 years relevant Funds Administration experience (L7 requirement).
- Complete understanding of the trade life cycle and its operational impacts.
- Strong knowledge of capital markets and a wide range of financial instruments (including derivatives).
- Strong accounting fundamentals with expert-level accounting knowledge preferred.
- Excellent NAV calculation knowledge with clear understanding of the end-to-end Fund Accounting model including NAV reconciliation.
- Proven working knowledge of key platforms/tools (e.g. IMS Multifonds ICON Bloomberg).
- Ability to update manage and analyse MI (Management Information) to support performance and control reporting.
- Working knowledge of custody brokerage depository investment accounting mutual funds and reconciliations; strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Strong execution skills: advanced Excel proficiency good English communication strong teamwork/interpersonal skills organised/detail-oriented able to reprioritise to meet strict deadlines and committed to HSBC internal controls/audit actions and operational risk management.
