Senior TPM, Risk and Compliance Solutions (RCS)

Were seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead critical programs within Risk and Compliance Solutions (RCS).
RCS serves as a crucial safeguard for Amazons buyers brands and selling partners while ensuring business teams meet their regulatory obligations. Operating under the Three Lines of Defense (3LoD) model RCS functions as the second line of defense providing specialized oversight monitoring and expertise while setting policies and procedures that guide Amazons compliance framework.
RCSs mission is to leverage specialist industry insights and Amazons unique approach to scale through technology delighting customers through tailored compliance solutions. Our work spans multiple critical areas including:
- Enabling Amazons financial services expansion through streamlined license acquisition
- Managing existing business risks across the organization
- Delivering comprehensive governance risk and assurance services
- Developing innovative solutions like Compliance as a Service (CaaS)
- Transforming compliance operations into a proactive intelligence-led framework

Role Overview:
Were seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead scalable technology solutions delivery that transform how Amazon approaches compliance and risk management. This role is critical for RCSs mission to scale compliance operations through technology reduce manual processes and enable Amazons global expansion while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead complex technical programs across RCSs end-to-end regulatory compliance applications and regulatory reporting
- Drive the implementation of AI/ML-powered compliance solutions including automated horizon scanning predictive control frameworks and automated controls testing.
- Manage cross-functional programs that integrate GenAI capabilities across RCS.
- Partner with engineering teams and business stakeholders to transform manual compliance processes into automated scalable solutions
- Coordinate with global regulatory teams to ensure technology solutions meet compliance requirements
- Drive technical integration initiatives with other Amazon teams to leverage core services
- Establish and track program metrics that demonstrate compliance effectiveness and operational efficiency
- Lead programs that enable streamlined license acquisition for Amazons financial services expansion

- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules

- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Bachelors degree in engineering computer science or equivalent
