Role Summary
This is a high-ownership high-ambiguity role at the intersection of product engineering and lending operations. You will define roadmap own architecture decisions and drive delivery across the full lending lifecycle from thin-file credit scoring and origination to UPI/NACH-based collections. Youll work directly with engineering risk compliance and business leadership and represent the customer in every discussion.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Vision & Roadmap
Define and own the product strategy for the micro-lending platform. Translate business goals into a prioritised roadmap. Identify new opportunities BNPL MSME credit co-lending and drive build vs. buy vs. partner decisions.
Platform Architecture Ownership
Lead system design for a serverless Azure architecture (Container Apps Functions API Management). Own microservices decomposition async event flows data models and API contracts. Enforce engineering standards across the platform.
Lending Domain Depth
Drive product execution across the full lending lifecycle: origination bureau/AA-based underwriting
disbursement via UPI/IMPS repayment via NACH/UPI Autopay and delinquency management. Own the logic edge cases and compliance implications of each.
Regulatory & Compliance
Ensure the platform adheres to RBIs Digital Lending Guidelines Fair Practices Code and data localization requirements. Own KYC/AML/CKYC integration KFS generation and audit trail design. Stay ahead of regulatory shifts.
Data ML & Risk Signals
Work with data science to integrate alternative credit signals Account Aggregator cashflow analysis
bureau data GST/ITR signals and behavioural data. Champion explainability and fairness in credit models. Prioritise fraud detection pipelines.
Cross-Functional Execution
Serve as the connective tissue between engineering risk ops and business. Run structured discovery write sharp PRDs and ensure sprint-level delivery aligns with architectural integrity. Remove blockers proactively; flag trade-offs early.
Customer & Market Insight
Own deep borrower empathy. Conduct research with tier-2/3 city customers self-employed borrowers and retail partners. Use product analytics funnel data and cohort analysis to drive continuous improvement.

Python backend systems APIs data processing
PostgreSQL schema design query optimisation scaling
Azure: Container Apps Functions API Management Event Grid
Serverless and event-driven architecture patterns
REST API design; async / message-based systems
DevSecOps basics; CI/CD pipeline hygiene
Lending & Fintech Domain
5 years in consumer or MSME digital lending
Hands-on with LOS LMS or credit deaccessioning systems
Deep understanding of NACH UPI Autopay eMandate flows
Account Aggregator (AA) framework FIP/FIU integration
RBI Digital Lending Guidelines Fair Practices Code KYC/AML
Bureau integrations: CIBIL Experian CRIF CKYC
Product & Leadership
Proven end-to-end product ownership from 01 and beyond
Sharp PRD writing and ruthless prioritisation instincts
Strong data literacy SQL funnels cohort analysis
Ability to mentor PMs and engineers on product thinking
Comfortable in ambiguity; thrives in high-growth environments
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Exposure to ML models in credit scoring or fraud detection
Familiarity with co-lending / FLDG regulatory structures
GSTN ITR or AA-based income verification experience
Engineering background with MBA or equivalent business context
NBFC / bank partnership experience
