Senior Specialist, Technical Product Management

Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Specialist in Technical Product Management to join our Digital Supply Chain team. This role focuses on strengthening our technical capabilities by streamlining processes and advancing technology maturity with a particular emphasis on building a stable high-performing and resilient technology platform that enables digital supply chain innovation. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation sharp analytical skills and a passion for digital product management.

Platform Product Management

• Ability to define and execute a platform vision and roadmap that enables multiple products and teams
• Skilled at balancing innovation delivery platform stability and technical debt management
• Experience treating internal teams as customers with a focus on developer experience self-service capabilities and adoption

Operational Excellence & Reliability

• Working knowledge of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles including monitoring incident management and uptime management
• Experience in establishing and tracking platform health metrics SLAs and performance indicators
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience leading root-cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts

Data Metrics & Analytics

• Data-driven approach to decision-making using telemetry usage data and platform performance metrics
• Ability to define KPIs that measure platform maturity adoption reliability and value realization
• Comfort working with data logs and observability tools to assess platform health

CrossFunctional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence engineering operations security and business stakeholders
• Experience managing competing priorities across multiple teams and initiatives
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Process Governance & Standards

• Experience establishing platform standards reusable patterns and guardrails that promote consistency without slowing innovation
• Continuous improvement mindset focused on operational efficiency and scale

Technology Lifecycle & Maturity Management

• Experience managing platform lifecycle including versioning deprecation backward compatibility and modernization

Change Management & Enablement

• Experience driving platform adoption through clear communication documentation and enablement
• Ability to lead change initiatives across teams and help users transition to new capabilities

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes product requirements develops product roadmaps and owns the product backlog. Analyses market and/or user research feedback expert opinion and usage data to understand needs and opportunities. Facilitates uptake of products by developing content supporting and evaluating campaigns and monitoring product performance. Rolls out product trials and product launches.
• Defines and manages scoping requirements definition and prioritization activities for changes. Provides constructive challenge to stakeholders as required. Reviews requirements for errors and omissions. Prioritizes requirements and documents traceability to source. Provides input to the requirements baseline. Investigates manages and applies authorized requests for changes to base-line requirements.
• Stakeholder Relationships: Deals with problems and issues managing resolutions corrective actions lessons learned and the collection and dissemination of relevant information. Implements stakeholder engagement/communications plan. Collects and uses feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure the effectiveness of stakeholder management. Helps develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships.
• User Experience Analysis: Selects appropriate techniques and tools to develop user stories and elicit user experience requirements in complex situations. Identifies and describes the design goals for systems products services and devices. Identifies the roles of affected stakeholder groups. Resolves potential conflicts between differing user requirements. Specifies measurable criteria for the required usability and accessibility of systems products services and devices.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute product strategies that align with business goals and enhance the risk ecosystem. Analyze existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in product delivery. Work closely with stakeholders including business leaders technical teams and end-users to gather requirements and translate them into actionable product features.
• Value Realization: Collaborate with the Product Manager Technical Product Manager and stakeholders to implement new products/projects ensuring adherence to project objectives/timelines and maximizing adoption/value creation.
• Participate in the design and architecture of the systems ensuring scalability performance and security. Create and maintain technical documentation including system designs requirements specifications test plans and user guides. Assist with Digital System Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) Author Execution Reviewer/Approver and Change Management.
• Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies including functional integration and regression testing to ensure quality and reliability.
• Provide training and support to users and stakeholders on new product features and enhancements.

Qualifications

Required

• Post-Degree or masters degree in engineering Business Administration Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience with Agile methodologies Application lifecycle management and establishing high fidelity instance management.
• 7 years of experience in digital product management business/technical analysis or a related role.
• Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g. Agile Scrum). Familiarity with product management software (e.g. JIRA Trello). Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. SQL Excel Tableau).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Preferred

• Understanding data analytics and visualization tools.
• Experience establishing & sustaining enterprise application and managing its lifecycle.
• Knowledge of GenAI machine learning artificial intelligence or data science technologies.
