Position: Senior Research Engineer I

Key words: Materials Science/Physics/Material science and Metallurgy/Inorganic Chemistry

Position Summary: Researcher will work with R&D team to work on various business-oriented and exploratory projects related to characterization analysis and industrial application of a wide range of raw materials. The candidate will be proactive and independent in project scoping mentoring junior researchers and will lead projects based on raw material processing.

Below are the requirements.

• Good understanding of inorganic materials solids structure-property correlations in functional materials
• Strong knowledge of materials chemistry and defects in solids solid state /amorphous materials
• Good hands-on and analytical experience of various materials characterization techniques (TEM SEM XPS XRD Raman etc.).
• Prior knowledge of powder processing handling storage is an added advantage.
• Idea of sample preparation methods chemical lab protocols is an added advantage.
• Knowledge in theoretical methods of materials analysis – density functional theory is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of AI tools is an added advantage.
• Prior mentoring experience is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and share the knowledge quick grasping abilities.
• Attention to details and quality of work.
• Should have hands-on approach towards research and be proactive.
• Independent research abilities with minimal supervision good at decision-making.
• Meticulous in prioritizing planning and execution.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams agile mindset.
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write technical reports/memos/manuscripts.
• Proficient in MS office.
• Analytical software associated with the characterization techniques.

Qualifications:

Educational qualification:

• Ph.D – Materials science/Physics/Inorganic chemistry/Materials science and Metallurgy with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
• M.S - Material science/ Physics/Inorganic chemistry/Materials science and Metallurgy with 10 to 12 years of relevant experience.
