Senior Playwright Automation Test Engineer

What success looks like in this role:

• Provides Software QA Engineering across multiple applications and system elements.
• Defines testing requirements.
• Contributes to architecture / design reviews.
• Designs develops and executes test plans including performance testing.
• Develops enhances and maintains well-formed and scalable test frameworks.
• Writes high quality documentation identifying and recommending solutions to observed issues.
• Evaluates new feature impact on existing tests; evaluates feasibility of new feature testing.
• Identifies recommends and implements process improvements to enhance testing strategies.
• Supports team members in writing of scripts expected results test results and defect descriptions.
• Prepares and estimates effort and timeline and prepares an overall test plan.
• Provides regular status update for self / team to lead / manager.
• Assists in creation of training / upskilling plan for less experienced resources.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• BA/BS degree and 5 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hands-on expertise in Playwright automation framework and test script development.
• Strong experience in Functional Regression Integration API and End-to-End testing.
• Proficient in SQL for database validation and data verification.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or equivalent.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines Agile methodologies and defect management processes.
• Ability to design and maintain scalable automation frameworks and improve test coverage.
• Strong stakeholder communication and mentoring skills.
• Banking or Financial Services domain knowledge preferred.
• Familiarity with DevOps cloud-based testing environments and containerized applications.
• Understanding of performance testing security testing and quality engineering practices.
• Exposure to Selenium Cypress Postman REST APIs and modern test automation tools in addition to Playwright.
