Senior Manager – Planning (FormulationAPI)

Position: Senior Manager - Planning (Formulation/API)
Department: Supply Chain Management (SCM)
Location: Hyderabad - On-Site
Reporting To: General Manager - SCM

• Manage S&OP demand forecasting capacity planning and production planning.
• Ensure optimum capacity utilization timely delivery and inventory control.
• Develop effective planning strategies based on business requirements.

• Lead end-to-end planning for formulation manufacturing across multiple sites.
• Align production plans with business customer and supply chain requirements.
• Monitor production schedules and address planning-related gaps.

• Work closely with Production Quality Procurement Sales and Supply Chain teams.
• Ensure smooth coordination to achieve operational and supply chain objectives.
• Resolve planning issues through effective stakeholder management.

• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Drive operational excellence and planning efficiency.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma or similar improvement methodologies where applicable.

• Ensure planning processes follow pharmaceutical industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support planning activities in global and CMO manufacturing environments.

• MBA or advanced degree in Operations Supply Chain Business or a related field preferred.
• 12-15 years of experience in pharmaceutical planning supply chain or operations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Strong experience in formulation manufacturing and end-to-end supply chain management.
• Experience in pharmaceutical and CMO operations.
• Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP systems and supply chain analytics.
• Experience in demand forecasting and supply chain data analysis.
• Exposure to multi-site or international pharmaceutical operations is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of S&OP demand planning capacity planning and production planning.
• Good understanding of pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing and supply chain processes.
• Strong SAP/ERP and data analysis skills.
• Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma is an added advantage.
