Senior Interior Designer - Hospitality
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Interior Designer to join our engineering consulting team in Bangalore Karnataka India. This role is ideal for a professional with 8-18 years of experience who is passionate about creating innovative and functional interior spaces. You will play a pivotal role in leading design projects from concept to completion ensuring high-quality outcomes within an engineering consulting environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization development and execution of interior design projects across various sectors.
- Collaborate closely with clients architects engineers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver integrated design solutions.
- Develop comprehensive design presentations including mood boards material palettes 2D layouts and 3D renderings to effectively communicate design intent.
- Prepare detailed construction drawings specifications and schedules for procurement and implementation.
- Conduct site visits and oversee design implementation to ensure adherence to design intent and quality standards.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth and development of the design team.
- Stay updated with current industry trends materials and technologies.
- Manage project timelines budgets and resources effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Architecture (.) degree.
- 8-18 years of progressive experience in interior design preferably within an engineering or architectural consulting firm.
- Demonstrated proficiency in interior design principles space planning material selection and lighting design.
- Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g. AutoCAD SketchUp Revit 3ds Max V-Ray Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects and advanced 3D visualization skills.
- Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Thorough understanding of local building codes and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification processes.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies.
- Leadership or mentorship experience within a design team.
- Prior experience working on large-scale commercial institutional or hospitality projects.
