We are seeking a highly creative and technically exceptional Senior Frontend Developer with a proven track record of building immersive interactive 3D web applications browser-based games and real-life simulated graphics.
In this role you will go beyond building standard 2D user interfaces. You will be responsible for architecting and executing high-performance web experiences that utilize WebGL custom shaders and physics engines. The ideal candidate treats the browser viewport as a canvas blending pixel-perfect web engineering with gaming-grade optimization to deliver breathtaking user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Architect Immersive Web Experiences: Design develop and deploy highly interactive responsive 3D web applications and browser-based games.
Graphics Optimization: Optimize rendering pipelines asset loading memory management and frame rates ($60text FPS$ across both desktop and mobile browsers).
UI/UX Integration: Seamlessly blend standard HTML/CSS/React components with complex 3D canvas elements ensuring smooth transitions and state management.
Asset Pipeline Management: Collaborate with 3D artists and technical designers to integrate optimize and animate low-poly/high-poly 3D models (GLTF/GLB FBX) and textures.
Custom Shader Development: Write performant custom GLSL vertex and fragment shaders for realistic lighting particles water simulation and visual effects.
Cross-Browser & Device Compatibility: Ensure complex 3D scenes perform beautifully across varying hardware capabilities including older mobile devices.
Required Technical Skills
Core Frontend: Advanced mastery of JavaScript (ES6)TypeScriptHTML5 Canvas and semantic CSS/SCSS.
Modern Frameworks: Deep experience with (or and advanced state management (Zustand Redux or XState).
3D & Graphics Libraries: Comprehensive hands-on experience with React Three Fiber (R3F) or .
Low-Level Graphics: Strong understanding of WebGL API fundamentals and writing GLSL shaders. Experience with WebGPU is a massive plus.
Physics & Math: Strong foundational knowledge of 3D vector mathematics linear algebra matrices and web physics engines (e.g. Rapier ).
Performance Tooling: Proficiency in debugging performance bottlenecks using Chrome DevTools WebGL inspectors and memory profiling tools.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Experience: 5 years in Frontend Development with at least 2 3 years focused heavily on 3D web apps interactive maps or browser gaming.
Game Dev Background: Experience with traditional game engines (Unity Unreal Engine or Godot) or specialized web game engines (PlayCanvas Phaser) is highly desirable.
Design Eye: A strong portfolio demonstrating creative coding generative art or commercial-grade 3D web UI.
Tooling: Experience with Vite Webpack Git and setting up optimized build pipelines for heavy assets.
