Overview

Seismic is seeking an experienced and versatile business leader to provide India leadership across the Finance Information Technology and Information Security organizations.

This is a broad general management role within the CFO organization. The Senior Director will lead and enable accomplished functional leaders including Directors Senior Managers and subject matter experts while ensuring strong alignment between India priorities and the global strategies of Finance IT and Information Security.

This position will have dual reporting to the President and Managing Director India and the Global Chief Financial Officer. The role will also work closely with global functional leaders responsible for Finance IT and Information Security.

Success in this role requires strong business judgment the ability to lead senior functional talent and experience operating effectively within a complex globally matrixed organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in at least one of the relevant functions along with demonstrated leadership oversight or partnership across the others.

Who you are:
  • At least 20 years of progressive leadership experience across corporate or general and administrative functions with substantial experience in Finance Information Technology Information Security or a closely related area.
  • Deep functional expertise in Finance including adequate knowledge of IT or Information Security combined with demonstrated experience leading overseeing or partnering effectively across the other functions.
  • Experience leading senior managers functional leaders and subject-matter experts in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Significant experience operating in India within a US-headquartered multinational organization; experience in a SaaS or enterprise software company is preferred.
  • Experience working within a global matrix and balancing local organizational needs with global functional strategies standards and accountabilities.
  • Strong general-management orientation commercial judgment and the ability to connect functional priorities with broader business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in building organizations developing leadership capability and creating high-performing engaged teams.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication stakeholder management influencing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes across different functions geographies and levels of leadership.
  • Strong critical thinking analytical problem solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience managing multiple complex initiatives setting priorities and driving execution in a fast-moving environment.
  • Sound understanding of governance compliance controls and enterprise risk in the Indian business environment.
  • Bachelors degree in business Finance Technology Engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • Masters degree / Professional Certification in Finance Technology or a related discipline is preferred.
What youll be doing:
  • Provide leadership for employees across Finance Information Technology and Information Security while maintaining close alignment with the respective global functional leaders.
  • Lead coach and enable a team of experienced functional leaders and subject-matter experts creating clarity of ownership accountability and collaboration across the organization.
  • Translate global functional strategies into effective India execution plans taking into consideration local business priorities regulatory requirements and talent-market conditions.
  • Partner with the President and Managing Director India the Global Chief Financial Officer and other executive leaders to understand business priorities and ensure that the India CFO organization is positioned to support them.
  • Serve as a member of both the India leadership team and the CFO leadership team representing the India organization and contributing to enterprise-wide decisions.
  • Establish an effective operating rhythm across the three functions including business reviews workforce planning priority setting risk management the escalation of critical issues and driving AI-led growth opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with CFO organization peers and functional leaders in other geographies to ensure consistency transparency and effective global collaboration.
  • Partner with functional leaders and People teams to attract retain develop and engage high-performing talent across Finance IT and Information Security.
  • Build leadership capability and succession pipelines within the India organization with particular focus on developing strong functional leaders and future enterprise talent.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration in which local and global teams share knowledge solve problems collectively and operate with clear accountability.
  • Support appropriate governance controls compliance and risk-management practices across the functions in partnership with the relevant global subject-matter experts.
  • Sponsor and oversee cross-functional programs and transformation initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness operational scalability and employee experience.
  • Provide clear timely and executive-level communication regarding business progress organizational health risks dependencies and decisions.
