About the Role

We are seeking a highly experiencedSrDevOpsEngineer ComputePlatformswith strong operational expertise in enterprise compute platformsto implement and supportKuberneteson baremetal and hypervisorplatformsin a private cloud role focuses on thedeployment automation support and continuous improvementof large-scale compute environments spanning bare metal infrastructure virtualization private cloud and Kubernetes platformsusing Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps practices.

This is a deeply technical role requiringexpert-level understanding ofcomputehardware managementKubernetesOpenStackhypervisorsandextensive working knowledge on Linux Operating systems.You will also collaborate with platform and SRE teams to maintain secure performant and multi-tenant-isolated services that serve high-throughput mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and supportenterprise compute platformsacross hardware OS virtualization and container orchestration layers

• Develop and improve automation for provisioning patching upgrades validation and routine platform work using tools such as Ansible Terraform Helm Git Bash Python or similar technologies

• Deploy andSupport Ubuntu-based systems hypervisors Kubernetes clusters and related platform services in day-to-day operations

• Implement and maintainPXE-based provisioningenvironments leveragingRedfish APIsfor large-scale server deployments

• Operate and supportvirtualization and private cloud platforms includingKVM on UbuntuOpenStackenvironments andHarvester HCI

• Monitor system performance capacity and availability; proactively address reliability risks

• Troubleshoot complex cross-stack issues spanning hardware OS virtualization OpenStack and Kubernetes

• Manage to SLAs KPIs and error budgets

• Participate inon-call escalation supportfor complex platform-related issues

• Collaborate globally onchange management documentation and operational best practices.

• Develop and maintainrunbooks operational procedures and technical documentation

Minimum Qualifications

• 6years of experienceas a DevOps Engineer Site Reliability Engineer or Infrastructure Operations Engineerwith a strong focus on compute

• Strong hands-on experience operatingbare metal compute environmentsat scale

• Experience withPXE boot automated OS provisioning and server imaging systems

• Practical experience supportingBare Metal as a Service (BMaaS)platformsleveraging Redfish APIs

• Strong Linux administration skills especially withUbuntu

• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform automation

• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform Ansible or similar)

• Operational experience withvirtualization and private cloud platforms includingKVM on UbuntuOpenStackoperations and troubleshootingHarvester HCI

• Experience deploying and operatingproduction Kubernetes environments

• Strong scripting skills in Python Bash or similar languages

• Strong understanding on SRE functions like toilreduction error budgets and meeting SLAs

• Proven troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in complex distributed systems

• Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills

• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• OpenStack Ubuntu KVMadministration.

• BareMetalas a Service (PXE Redfish).

• Kubernetes onBareMetal

• UnderstandingCIS/NISTsecurity andinfrastructure lifecycle management.

• ITIL Foundation/advanced certifications in support of ITSM standard methodology.

• Background in telco edge cloud or large enterprise environments.

• Ubuntu CertificationsCNCFCertified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)

• Masters degree in computer science IT Engineering or a related field preferred; equivalent experience and relevant industry certifications will also be considered.
