Job Description: Automation QA Engineer (Playwright)

Location: Pune

Experience: 3 to 5 Years

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Automation QA Engineer with 3 to 5 years of overall testing experience including at least 2 years of hands-on experience in Playwright automation. The ideal candidate should possess strong automation testing skills a solid understanding of software testing methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments.

Design develop and maintain robust automated test scripts using functional regression smoke and end-to-end automation test business requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases.

Identify log track and verify defects using defect management tools.

Collaborate closely with developers business analysts and product owners to ensure high-quality software in sprint planning estimation requirement reviews and automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.

Improve test coverage automation framework effectiveness and execution test execution reports and communicate testing status to stakeholders.

Required Skills

Must Have

3 to 5 years of experience in Software Automation Testing and QA.

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Playwright.

Strong knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.

Experience in web application test automation.

Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira.

Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Experience in Git-based source control management.

Good to Have

Experience with API automation testing along with using Postman REST Assured or similar tools.

Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Experience with Selenium Robot Framework or other automation frameworks.

Knowledge of SQL and database validation testing.

Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and automation best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field.

Relevant certifications in Automation Testing or Playwright will be an added advantage.
