Job Title: Senior Data Engineer Snowflake & DBT

Location: Chennai (Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake and DBT (Data Build Tool) to design build and optimize scalable cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of recent hands-on experience in both Snowflake and DBT and possess strong experience in developing modern data pipelines and data warehouse solutions.

Note: Candidates with experience primarily in the Healthcare domain will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and DBT.
• Build and optimize cloud-based data warehouse solutions for analytics and reporting.
• Develop ELT/ETL workflows to ingest transform and curate data from multiple sources.
• Optimize SQL queries data models and Snowflake performance for large-scale datasets.
• Implement data quality checks testing and monitoring using DBT best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders data analysts and architects to understand data requirements.
• Ensure data governance security and compliance standards are followed.
• Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve platform performance.
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of current hands-on experience in both Snowflake and DBT (mandatory).
• Strong SQL programming and data modeling skills.
• Experience building ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
