Senior BIM Coordinator- Structures
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior BIM Coordinator - Structures to join our growing team in Bengaluru this role you will lead the development and coordination of structural Building Information Models (BIM) ensuring seamless integration across all project disciplines. You will be responsible for managing complex structural models coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop manage and maintain comprehensive structural BIM models using industry-standard software and protocols
- Conduct clash detection and resolution between structural and MEP systems documenting findings and coordinating solutions with relevant teams
- Establish and enforce BIM standards naming conventions and modeling guidelines for structural elements across projects
- Coordinate with architects MEP engineers and contractors to ensure structural model accuracy and alignment with project requirements
- Generate technical documentation construction drawings and schedules from BIM models for construction teams
- Perform quality assurance reviews on structural models to verify compliance with project specifications and building codes
- Manage model coordination meetings track issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner
- Mentor junior BIM coordinators and support team members in adopting BIM best practices
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure BIM deliverables meet contractual obligations and timelines
- Stay current with BIM standards emerging technologies and industry advancements in structural coordination
Qualifications :
- 5 years of professional experience in BIM coordination structural engineering or related roles
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Structure) and Navisworks or equivalent BIM software
- Demonstrated expertise in structural modeling clash detection and coordination workflows
- Strong knowledge of BIM standards and protocols (ISO 19650 or similar frameworks)
- Solid understanding of structural engineering principles building codes and construction practices
- Experience with 3D visualization rendering and model presentation techniques
- Proficiency in project management tools and document control systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong organizational abilities and capability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in the Indian construction industry or familiarity with local building standards is preferred
- Knowledge of construction sequencing and scheduling is preferred
