Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior AV Technician who will be responsible for installing configuring testing commissioning troubleshooting and maintaining professional audio-visual systems at customer locations. The role requires strong hands-on technical expertise the ability to interpret AV drawings and schematics and the capability to guide technicians while ensuring projects are completed safely accurately and within the agreed timelines.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Install and integrate professional AV systems including displays projectors video walls speakers amplifiers microphones DSPs control systems video conferencing systems and AV-over-IP solutions.
- Carry out equipment mounting rack fabrication cable pulling dressing labelling termination and testing.
- Perform termination of HDMI CAT6 fibre speaker audio control and other AV cables.
- Read and interpret AV system drawings signal-flow diagrams rack layouts cable schedules floor plans and equipment documentation.
- Configure and test audio video conferencing switching control and network-based AV equipment.
- Perform basic DSP configuration audio gain structuring equalisation and microphone testing.
- Conduct system testing and commissioning in coordination with AV programmers design engineers OEM representatives and project managers.
- Diagnose and resolve issues relating to signal loss audio feedback connectivity equipment configuration cabling and network communication.
- Support the installation and configuration of Microsoft Teams Rooms Zoom Rooms and other unified communication solutions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance breakdown support and health checks for installed AV systems.
- Lead and supervise junior technicians subcontractors and installation teams at project sites.
- Allocate daily tasks and ensure installation activities comply with project drawings quality standards and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with customers consultants civil contractors electrical teams networking teams and other project stakeholders.
- Maintain installation checklists test reports snag lists equipment records and project documentation.
- Support customer demonstrations user training system handover and project sign-off.
- Ensure proper handling storage and accountability of equipment tools and project materials.
- Follow workplace safety requirements including work-at-height electrical safety and site-specific safety procedures.
- Travel to customer locations and work outside regular business hours when required by project schedules.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of professional AV system installation and signal flow.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Projectors LED displays video walls and interactive displays
- Audio mixers DSPs amplifiers microphones and speakers
- AV switchers scalers matrix switchers and extenders
- Video conferencing and unified communication systems
- Control processors touch panels and room-control systems
- AV-over-IP HDBaseT HDMI USB Dante and networked AV solutions
- Rack assembly cable management termination and testing
- Projectors LED displays video walls and interactive displays
- Familiarity with brands such as Crestron Extron Biamp QSC Shure Sennheiser Bose Harman Poly Logitech Cisco Barco and Kramer would be advantageous.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking VLANs IP addressing PoE and network troubleshooting.
- Ability to use multimeters cable testers network testers audio test equipment and standard AV installation tools.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD drawings and AV documentation is preferred.

Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT recruitment talent acquisition or related roles. Proficient in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment tools; familiarity with HR software is a plus. Ability to assess technical skills and evaluate candidates for cultural fit. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with candidates and stakeholders. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
