Job Title / Designation: Faculty 3D
Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced faculty member to teach 3D fundamentals and workflows as part of the Animation/VFX curriculum. The role involves delivering structured lectures conducting practical lab sessions mentoring student projects and ensuring course delivery aligns with academic objectives and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver lectures and hands-on training in 3D modeling texturing lighting and rendering.
- Conduct practical lab sessions focused on production workflows.
- Guide students in creating 3D assets and project-based outputs.
- Mentor assignments and final projects with industry relevance.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Align teaching practices with industry standards and academic outcomes.
Required Skill Set
- Proficiency in Autodesk Maya /(Optional- Blender).
- Strong understanding of 3D modeling UV mapping and texturing workflows.
- Knowledge of lighting rendering and shading techniques.
- Understanding of Arnold / V-Ray
- Familiarity with asset creation pipelines for VFX or games.
- Ability to explain concepts clearly to undergraduate students.
- Experience in student evaluation assignments and project mentoring.
Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Knowledge of sculpting tools like ZBrush (added advantage).
- Understanding of basic animation and rigging concepts.
- Experience with real-time workflows
- Exposure to compositing workflows and integration with VFX pipelines.
- Prior teaching or mentoring experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Industry experience in film gaming or digital media (added advantage).
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: 12 years
- Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Design (or equivalent) with relevant experience
