Job Summary: We are looking for an Engineer - Powertrain Component Design & Development to carry out powertrain component design development and evaluation with a focus on Engine Management System (EMS) products such as Injector ETB Fuel Pump Sensors Ignition Coil and VCT.
Mandatory Requirements:
- 3-6 years of experience in the automobile industry
- BE / in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering
- Understanding of engineering drawings GD&T product D&D milestones manufacturing technologies EMS systems and product operation
- Direct exposure to powertrain component design development and evaluation
- Experience handling a team of 1 or more
- Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel with efficient time management
- Proficiency in Power BI advanced Excel & PowerPoint CATIA and CREO
Preferred Requirements:
- Know-how of Engine Management System (EMS) products and powertrain component development activities
- Design/development/testing exposure to EMS components: Injector ETB Fuel pump Sensors Ignition coil VCT
- Powertrain company experience
- Experience with running change approvals from customers
- Experience with validation activities on vehicle for carryover products
- Experience with technical support for field claim parts investigation
- Experience with localization and VA/VE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering) activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out powertrain component design & development activity along with evaluation.
- Support Engine Management System (EMS) product development Injector ETB Fuel Pump Sensors Ignition Coil VCT design development and testing.
- Process running-change approvals from customers.
- Conduct validation activities on vehicle for carryover products.
- Provide technical support for field claim parts investigation.
- Drive localization and VA/VE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering) activities.
