Sales Program Manager, ATES
Job Summary
Key job responsibilities
The Sales Program Manager will own the ATES partner channel end-to-end from partner recruitment onboarding and certification through activation and performance management. This includes defining the strategy to grow the partner network designing incentive structures and payout models that drive behaviors aligned to business goals (seller launches FBA adoption GMS targets) and building operational playbooks and program frameworks that enable the team to scale across geographies without adding headcount proportionally. The role requires analyzing program metrics (launches partner activity conversion rates GMS output cost-per-acquisition) to identify trends diagnose root causes of misses and write documents that propose solutions.
The Sales Program Manager will partner with Marketing Training & Certification Product Operations and Business Intelligence to remove blockers and improve the partner and seller experience. They will prepare and present business reviews (WBR MBR QBR) with data narratives and asks and escalate risks before they become misses. They will manage partner communications resolve escalations within defined SLAs and identify automation and process improvement initiatives that reduce manual effort and lower cost-to-serve. The role demands setting goals defining success criteria and building mechanisms that surface gaps early and enable course correction.
A day in the life
Youll start your day reviewing ATES program dashboards tracking partner activity seller launches conversion funnels and GMS milestones. You might spend your morning analyzing why a cohort of partners has lower-than-expected conversion rates diving deep into the data to identify root causes and drafting an action plan. Mid-day you could be leading a call with the training team to refine the certification curriculum based on partner feedback or working with marketing on a campaign to recruit new ATES partners in an underserved the afternoon you might review incentive payout data collaborate with finance on program economics and prepare a narrative document for your upcoming MBR. No two days are the same youll balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution always keeping the seller and partner experience at the center of your decisions.

The ATES team operates within Amazons scaled channel for third-party seller acquisition. Our mission is to scale seller acquisition through a network of trained third-party partners Amazon Trained Ecommerce Specialists and Seller Affiliates who refer launch and grow Selling Partners on Amazon Marketplace. We believe in the power of entrepreneurship: our program provides individuals with the training certification and tools to build their own businesses while simultaneously expanding Amazons seller ecosystem. The program started in India in 2016 and has successfully scaled to multiple geographies. We are a data-driven customer-obsessed team that values ownership bias for action and delivering results at scale.
