Job Summary
Job Title:
Area Sales Manager Retail Sales (Construction Chemicals)
Location:
Pune
Reporting To:
DGM Sales
Role Purpose:
To drive primary and secondary sales growth in the assigned territory by developing a strong retail & distributor network ensuring product availability enhancing brand visibility and managing the frontline sales team for construction chemicals products.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly quarterly and annual sales targets for retail sales.
- Drive primary sales through distributors and secondary sales through retailers.
- Identify and onboard new distributors dealers and key retail counters.
- Expand market reach in existing and untapped areas.
Channel Management
- Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors dealers and retailers.
- Ensure timely collections credit control and adherence to company policies.
- Monitor distributor stock levels and ensure healthy inventory rotation.
Team Management
- Lead guide and motivate Sales Officers / Territory Sales Executives.
- Set targets review performance conduct market visits and provide coaching.
- Ensure disciplined execution of beat plans and daily reporting.
Market Development & Brand Visibility
- Execute in-shop branding schemes and promotions.
- Conduct product demonstrations mason meets contractor meets and retailer meets.
- Coordinate with technical teams for demos and trials when required.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Track competitor activities pricing schemes and market trends.
- Prepare sales forecasts MIS reports and market feedback for management.
- Analyze territory performance and recommend corrective actions.
Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with supply chain finance and marketing teams for smooth operations.
- Ensure adherence to company processes ethics and compliance standards.

Desired Candidate Profile:
Education:
- Graduate in any discipline (MBA/PGDM Marketing preferred)
Experience:
- 510 years of experience in Retail Sales of Construction Chemicals / Building Materials / Paints
- Proven experience in distributor & dealer management
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills

- Good communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel extensively within the territory
