Position Overview
TheRisk ProcessInnovationSpecialistwill be a key hire within the newly establishedRisk InnovationHuba strategic team focused onidentifyingopportunities to enhance how Risk Managementoperatesacross the organization. The Hub partners with teams across theRisk functionto evaluate and reimagine end-to-end processes driving improvements in both effectiveness and efficiency while strengthening risk outcomes.
This role willbe responsible forleading the analysisandredesignof Risk Management processes across multiple risk disciplines. Through the application of process engineeringtransformationmethodologiesand the adoption ofnew technologies.
The incumbent willplay a key role in driving the transformation of Risk Management processes through innovative thinkingstructured analysisand stakeholder partnership. Working across the Risk organization the individual will assess end-to-end processesand develop practical recommendations that enhance both operational effectiveness and risk outcomes.While AI and automationwillrepresentapart ofapproaches the hub will take a broader view considering holistic changes to how we work that create the greatest value.
The successful candidate will bring a combination of strong process engineeringexpertise innovative thinking structured problem-solving and stakeholder influence. They will play a critical role inidentifyingopportunities toleverageemerging technologies including AI to transform how work is performed across the Risk organization.The role will partner closely with leaders across Financial Risk Operational Risk Compliance Technology Risk and Business Risk functionsto shape the future operating model of the Risk function.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end analysis and documentation ofkeyRisk Management processes-across multiple risk disciplines.
Constructivelyreviewexisting ways of working andidentifyopportunities for process improvementsthatimprove efficiencies and/orRiskoutcomes.
Deliver an innovative perspectivebyidentifyingcurrent and futureopportunities toleverageAI analytics workflow technologies and other innovative solutions.In doing so exploreambitioussolutions that go beyondlocalised use-cases.
Undertakeinterviews workshops and working sessions with stakeholders to gatherinformationrequirements andvalidatefindings.
Develop future-state process designsandactionable transformation recommendations.Includingimplementation roadmapsand analysis ofbenefitsrisksandcosts.
Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and process owners across the Risk organization.Collaborate with Risk Technology Data andtheACEteam to assess transformation opportunities.
Present findings insights and recommendations to executive stakeholders and governance forums.
Monitor external trends industry best practices and emerging technologies notably AI -relevant to Risk Management transformation.
Provide recommendations onprioritisation of processes for review.Includingthe value of processes that span Risk andFirstLine-of-defence teams.
Be anactive member of RisksInnovationHub.Taking a leading role in bringing innovative ways of working and thinking to this crucial business unit.
QualificationsKnowledgeand Skills
Strong process engineeringorbusiness process management expertise.With anunderstanding of process redesign process optimization and change management principles.
Ability to analyse complex end-to-end processes andidentifypragmaticimprovement opportunities.
Innovative mindset with a demonstrated ability to challenge established practices and generate creative solutions.
Awareness ofhow emerging technologies can be utilised (including AI) and an appetite to develop this knowledge.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.Including an ability toinfluence and gain credibility with senior stakeholders.
Strong facilitation skills including leading workshops and cross-functional discussions.
Strong verbal written and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
Knowledge of Risk Management processes operational risk compliance or related control functions would beadvantageousbut is not essential.
Experience
For internal applications - 24 months as Senior Consultant
12 yearsofexperiencein process engineering business transformation operational excellence orrelevantmanagement consulting.Or equivalent skills.
Experience ofleading process improvement or business transformation initiatives within financial services.
Experience documenting and redesigning complex end-to-end processes involving multiple stakeholders and systems.
Experience implementinginnovativetechnologysolutions(incAI) toenhance processes outcomes and efficiencies.
Experience engaging with senior leaders and influencing decisions on business transformation initiatives.
Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma BPM or Process Excellence frameworks.
Strong analytical and data visualization skills.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional transformation initiatives.
