Job Summary
As a content-driven technology company Thomson Reuters operates in a uniquely complex and regulated environment and is evolving toward a real-time data-driven risk and compliance model moving beyond periodic retrospective processes toward intelligent automated systems. This role is a foundational capability builder within the Risk & Compliance function responsible for architecting and delivering AI-powered scalable solutions that transform how risk is identified monitored and managed across the enterprise. You will operate at the intersection of technology data and risk management partnering closely with Risk Technology and Data teams to operationalize a proactive forward-looking risk capability while embedding core operational risk management principles including risk identification assessment control design and issue lifecycle management within technology-driven solutions.
This is a unique opportunity to become a foundational engineer and builder within a growing AI and automation capability. You will help build the AI automation and risk intelligence capabilities that enable the next generation of enterprise risk management. You will design and deploy intelligent workflows AI agents predictive analytics solutions and data platforms that help Thomson Reuters identify emerging risks automate complex processes and deliver near real-time business insights. Your work will directly influence how Risk & Compliance evolves into a proactive technology-enabled function aligned to the TRC360 vision for Risk & Compliance Intelligence
You will work at the intersection of AI data science automation and business problem-solving leveraging technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs) Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) machine learning agentic workflows and cloud-native data platforms to build solutions that scale across the enterprise.
While this role operates within the Risk & Compliance function it is not a traditional risk analyst role. We are seeking engineers data scientists AI practitioners and automation specialists who are passionate about building innovative solutions. Risk and compliance domain knowledge can be developed over time; the ability to solve complex problems through technology and data is essential.

About You:
We are looking for a curious builder innovator and problem-solver who is passionate about using AI data and automation to solve complex business challenges. You may come from a background in software engineering data science machine learning analytics automation or related technical disciplines. What matters most is your ability to design scalable solutions work with ambiguity and translate business problems into technology-enabled experience in risk management compliance or governance is beneficial it is not essential. We are looking for candidates with strong technical foundations and a willingness to build expertise in enterprise risk management over time.
What we are looking for:
AI Data & Engineering
Strong experience in software engineering data science machine learning analytics or automation with typically 610 years of relevant experience.
Hands-on proficiency in Python SQL or similar technologies and experience building scalable applications workflows data pipelines or AI solutions.
Experience working with AI/ML technologies such as LLMs NLP predictive analytics agentic workflows Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) or related technologies.
Ability to design build deploy and continuously improve production-grade solutions.
