Reach Truck Operator

A reach truck operator drives specialized compact industrial trucks to load unload stack and move materials within narrow-aisle warehouse environments.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

1. Equipment Operation: Safely maneuver stand-up reach trucks through narrow aisles to lift lower and transport heavy pallets to high-tier warehouse racks.
2. Pre-Operational Inspections: Conduct daily safety checks on equipmentincluding brakes steering hydraulics and battery levelsbefore starting operations.
3. Loading and Unloading: Transfer goods efficiently between delivery trucks loading docks and designated storage locations.
4. Inventory Management: Utilize radio frequency (RF) scanners to track stock locations verify product quantities and log inventory movements.
5. Warehouse Maintenance: Keep aisles clear of debris wrap unstable pallets with shrink wrap and report any rack damage or mechanical defects immediately to supervisors.
6. Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to workplace safety regulations wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain safe travel speeds.
