About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic QA Lead to build lead and scale our Quality Assurance processes across a fast-moving start-up environment. Youll oversee the full QA lifecycledefining test strategies coordinating execution mentoring QA Analysts and driving quality throughout the development cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the QA team owning the overall testing strategy and quality roadmap.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering Product and DevOps teams to define test plans and acceptance criteria (BDD preferred).
- Implement and evolve test automation strategies using JavaScript/TypeScript Python and SQL.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of automated test suites for frontend (React/ShadCN) backend (Golang Laravel) and API layers.
- Ensure quality across a distributed architecture using AWS Firebase and PostgreSQL/Redis.
- Drive adoption of best practices including hexagonal architecture and CI/CD pipelines via GitHub and Linear.
- Report quality metrics and facilitate root cause analyses for production issues.
- Act as a QA evangelist driving a culture of quality across the organization.
Requirements:
- 5 years in software quality assurance with 2 years in a leadership or mentorship capacity.
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
- Solid understanding of BDD test design patterns and microservice testing strategies.
- Experience testing systems built with React Golang Laravel and VueJS.
- Comfortable navigating cloud infrastructure AWS Firebase EC2 Lambda Amplify Cloudflare.
- Expertise with databases like PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Proficiency in QA tools and workflows using GitHub and Linear.
- Exceptional communication problem-solving and leadership skills.
