QA Automation Lead with AI Agent Testing experince

The Lead QA Automation will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the automated testing strategy for the organization and ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design implementation and maintenance of automated testing solutions. This position demands a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of test automation frameworks software development life cycle (SDLC) and a proven track record of successfully leading automation initiatives and and the ability to mentor and guide team members. You will be a key player in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of software releases while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement an automation strategy aligned with overall testing and development goals.
• Design and develop a scalable and maintainable automation framework using Selenium and Python.
• Oversee the implementation and integration of automation tools into the testing process.
• Lead the development of automated test scripts using Python for functional regression and performance testing.
• Review and provide guidance on coding practices to the automation team.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
• Collaborate with the QA team to develop test plans and strategies including automation test coverage.
• Ensure test cases cover functional integration and regression testing scenarios.
• Investigate and report defects and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues.
• Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers providing guidance and support.
• Effectively communicate with team members stakeholders and management.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss testing strategies and release planning.
• Provide training to team members on Python and automation best practices.
• Maintain documentation on issues resolutions and improvements in the automation process.
• Ability to independently develop and execute automation scripts using Selenium Python
• Executes automated test scripts and report defects ensuring that the product meets quality standards and adheres to defined requirements
• Work together with software developers to enhance and improve programs. 
  Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements.
• Regular work on optimizing automation code quality and improving reliability indicators in the development process. 

Qualifications :

Required Skills

• 7 years of experience as a Lead QA Automation Engineer end-to-end quality driving and automation strategy.
• Strong Python coding expertise with ability to design scalable automation solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience in Playwright or Selenium for automation.
• Hands-on experience with Pytest or Robot Framework for building structured reusable frameworks.
• Deep understanding of API automation using Python including schema validation and integration testing.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting across UI API backend and environments.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins Bamboo GitHub Actions or similar tool
• Experience in performance and load testing using JMeter.
• Ability to write clean testable and maintainable code and enforce coding standards across the team.
• Proven ability to optimize test execution eliminate flaky tests and improve automation reliability.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipeline creation version control and environment configuration.
• Strong working knowledge of Jira for test planning tracking and reporting.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms like AWS or GCP for test execution environment setup and tooling integration.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted automation tools (self-healing tests AI-driven script generation Copilot) to accelerate productivity.

Additional Skills

• Exposure to ETL/ELT testing is a plus
• Basic knowledge of OWASP
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) etc.
