Project EHS Engineer
Job Summary
As a member of the Environment Health & Safety (EHS) team the Project EHS Engineer will be responsible for ensuring a safe healthy and incident-free workplace across project activities. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining GE Vernova Global EHS standards ensuring compliance with local regulations contractual obligations and organizational EHS requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Establish maintain and ensure effective implementation of Project EHS Risk Assessments in coordination with Site manager and Site EHS Manager.
- Prepare and maintain the Project EHS Plan with inputs from Project Management Engineering Procurement Construction and Commissioning teams.
- Revise and update the Project EHS Plan based on project requirements and recommendations from the Site EHS Manager
- Review contracts to identify EHS-related risks obligations and specific contractual conditions that may impact project execution.
- Recommend and implement mitigation measures for identified EHS risks.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legal regulatory client and company EHS requirements.
- Ensure all EHS events including STOP Work cases First Aid cases Near Misses PSEs and incidents are properly reported recorded and investigated.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurrence of incidents.
- Capture and communicate EHS lessons learned across project teams.
- Prepare accurate EHS reports dashboards and presentations for Project QBRs and EHS reviews.
- Define and manage EHS audit schedules to ensure compliance with internal procedures and EHS Roadmaps.
- Monitor implementation of corrective actions and closure of audit findings.
- Set project EHS objectives review performance regularly and implement improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and communicate EHS matters across cross-functional teams.
- Align and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful completion of project activities.
Basic Qualifications (requirements):
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
- One Year Regular Post Diploma in Industrial Safety from Sate Technical Board.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in EHS Field.
