Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical individual to join the company as a Product Specialist. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the companys product offerings within the car leasing industry by identifying market opportunities understanding customer needs and designing innovative solutions. The goal is to create products that are not only market-ready but also low-risk and highly profitable.
The candidate must have:
- In-depth knowledge of the Sales organization within the Agri Agrichemical and/or pharmaceutical and/or FMCG sector (organizational structure incentive & reimbursement policies day-to-day responsibilities and sales-related movements/travel)
- Good network and connect within the Agrichemical and/or pharmaceutical sector and/or FMCG sector
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Research: Interview existing and potential customers for insights into their preferences pain points and unmet needs.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market studies to identify trends and opportunities
- Data Analysis: Analyze market and customer data to drive decision-making and prioritize product development initiatives.
- Product Design: Develop/refine product offerings that align with market demand ensuring a balance between risk management profitability and customer acceptance. Run product pilots and assess success.
- Strategic Planning: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales marketing IT/Digital and finance to ensure alignment on product strategy and go-to-market plans.
- Performance Monitoring: Track the success of product initiatives through key metrics and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Innovation: Think creatively to propose out-of-the-box solutions that address market gaps and differentiate the companys offerings from competitors. Leverage of digital & technology to create competitive advantage
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business/ economics/ marketing or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Min 5 years of experience in sales product strategy market research or a similar role in industries like Agro Pharmaceutical FMCG Consulting Financial Services or Banking Technology or Software Solutions or Automotive aftermarket etc.
- Experience in on-ground/field sales
Professional Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
- Creative problem-solving skills with the capability to propose out-of-the-box solutions that address customer needs differentiate the product with a results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with ability to engage customers and extract meaningful insights present findings to peer and senior stakeholders.
- Proven track record of developing and launching successful products.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel Power BI) and familiarity with market research methodologies. Project management experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Financial Modeling (principles risk assessment and profitability analysis)
- Familiarity with product development methodologies (e.g. Agile Lean)
