This Principal Product Manager will own key areas for ID Plus and play a significant role in defining the roadmap and strategy for the platform. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering translating market and customer insight into crisp requirements sequencing tradeoffs and driving execution from concept through release.
The successful candidate must be an experienced product leader with a strong track record of delivering complex enterprise-grade SaaS and on-premises software as well as deep subject matter expertise in Identity and Access Management. They must be able to draw sound insights from limited data advocate for the product with customers analysts executives and engineers and thrive as a self-motivated leader on a large cross-functional team leading through influence rather than authority.
The successful Principal Product Manager will:
Define a winning plan that balances long-term strategy with short-term customer needs and capitalizes on emerging identity trends.
Manage the entire product lifecycle cradle-to-grave owning roadmap execution through requirements definition market-based prioritization and daily collaboration with engineering scrum teams.
Partner closely with engineering and architecture on design tradeoffs non-functional requirements and release planning across SaaS and on-premises delivery.
Stay in direct contact with customers prospects and the field turning discovery escalations and product telemetry into a defensible view of what to build next.
Work with other product managers to ensure alignment across the ID Plus suite and RSAs broader security initiatives.
Partner with Product Marketing and Program Management on messaging go-to-market plans and key performance indicators for the product.
8 years of product management experience building enterprise-grade software including both multi-tenant SaaS and on-premises products.
Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Identity & Access Management principles including major technology standards in authentication (NIST SP800-63 FIDO2 X.509) federation and authorization (SAML OAuth 2.0 OIDC) and emerging technologies (SSF Verifiable Credentials).
Proven leadership with a track record of leading through influence across engineering marketing sales and executive stakeholders without direct authority.
Strong technical aptitude able to hold a credible architectural conversation with engineers and translate customer use cases into clear requirements.
Superior written and verbal communication skills equally effective in a customer briefing an analyst discussion and a backlog grooming session.
Hands-on experience as a product owner within Agile SAFe development methodologies on large-scale engineering programs.
Independent self-starter who sets direction in ambiguity with a track record of exceptional performance and consistent professional growth.
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science; MBA a plus.
