We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Cloud Engineer with a strong background in Java Spring Boot and cloud-native architecture. This role is critical in driving the design development and scalability of cloud-based platforms with a focus on Kubernetes-driven environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in distributed system design hands-on experience with modern DevOps and GitOps practices and strong proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS Azure or GCP).

Lead the design and architecture of scalable high-performance cloud-native applications
Develop and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot
Drive system design decisions ensuring reliability scalability and performance
Architect and manage Kubernetes-based deployments across cloud environments
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Argo CD and Helm
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and secure cloud solutions
Optimize application performance cost efficiency and operational reliability
Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices in cloud architecture and development
Ensure adherence to DevOps GitOps and infrastructure-as-code principles

10 years of overall software engineering experience
Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot development
Proven experience in designing and building distributed systems and microservices architectures
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (mandatory) in production environments
Strong working knowledge of Helm and Argo CD (mandatory)
Deep experience in at least one cloud platform: AWS Azure or GCP
Strong understanding of cloud-native patterns scalability and resilience design
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
Familiarity with service mesh technologies (e.g. Istio)
Exposure to observability tools (Prometheus Grafana ELK etc.)
Experience in high-scale enterprise environments

Strong collaboration and communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively as a team player in a fast-paced environment
Ownership mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes
Ability to influence technical direction and drive innovation
