Key Responsibilities

Install configure and maintain PostgreSQL databases
Monitor database performance and optimize queries
Perform backup and recovery operations
Manage database upgrades patching and migrations
Ensure high availability and data security
Troubleshoot database issues and support production systems
Work closely with application and development teams

Responsibilities

Required Skills

Strong experience in PostgreSQL database administration
Good knowledge of SQL and query optimization
Experience in backup recovery and replication
Familiarity with performance tuning and monitoring tools
Basic scripting knowledge (Shell/Python) is preferred

Qualifications

Good to Have

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Exposure to other databases like MySQL/SQL Server
Knowledge of automation tools
