Platform Engineer 2 (Developer Experience)

Were looking for a Platform Engineer 2 to help improve developer experience (DevEx) streamline release processes and build reliable internal tools and platforms. This is a hands on engineering role focused on solving developer productivity challenges building automation and tooling and contributing to scalable platform solutions in collaboration with senior engineers and partner teams.

• Contribute to building and improving the Platform Engineering (Developer Productivity) capabilities working closely with senior engineers on roadmap and execution.

• Design and build internal tools and platforms that improve CI/CD testing workflows developer productivity and infrastructure automation.

• Work with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes AWS ephemeral environments and service monitoring tools to improve engineering workflows and reliability.

• Partner with engineers across teams to understand developer pain points and build solutions that improve the overall developer experience.

• Follow and promote best practices around continuous delivery developer efficiency automation and operational excellence.

• Collaborate with other engineers to document solutions share learnings and drive adoption of platform capabilities across teams.

• Take ownership of assigned projects contribute to technical discussions and continuously improve through experimentation and learning.

• 4-6 years in software engineering with at least 1 years in platform/dev productivity roles.

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes AWS CI/CD pipelines Spinnaker/Jenkins/ArgoCD IaC.

• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks dynamic test selection code quality gates.

• Strong coding skills in Go Python or Java (Go preferred for tooling/frameworks).

• Experience designing ephemeral environments monitoring/observability tools.

• Proven track record of leading small teams mentoring engineers and driving large-scale initiatives.

• A background in Google Summer of Code (GSoC) or any open-source software (OSS) contributions would be a huge plus. Alternatively having built something really cool to solve a difficult pain point for engineers or anything that helped ship things faster for the company or the OSS community would also be great.
