People Operations Manager
Job Summary
The People Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role in delivering caring consistent and high-quality employee experience across the full Hire-to-Retire lifecycle. Reporting to the People Operations Regional Head this position leads a team of People Operation Advisors across multiple locations with responsibility for day-to-day service delivery process excellence and team engagement across employee life cycle.
With deep expertise in HR operations systems and processes the Manager ensures smooth execution of key HR lifecycle moments such as onboarding job changes and exits while continuously seeking opportunities to simplify and improve how services are delivered. This role is instrumental in fostering a culture of care and operational excellence where each employee interaction reflects our commitment to service and people-centricity.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and engage a team of People Operation Advisors across multiple countries ensuring alignment collaboration and high team morale.
- Coach and develop team members by setting clear goals providing regular feedback and fostering continuous learning in HR processes and systems.
- Plan and manage resource allocation workload distribution and case assignment to ensure optimal service delivery and coverage.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee the delivery of timely accurate and high-quality HR operational services across the Hire to Retire E2E full employee lifecycle.
- Elevates the recruitment framework focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring compliance across all recruitment operational activities across all brands served.
- Ensure consistent and correct data entry in Workday and other HR systems maintaining a strong focus on data integrity and audit readiness.
- Resolve or escalate complex employee queries providing expert guidance on policies benefits and local compliance matters.
- Drives and monitor KPIs and service levels taking corrective actions to improve performance where needed.
- Provides visibility of key metrics to ensure proactive decision making can happen.
Process & Service Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying root causes of inefficiencies and implementing solutions that enhance employee experience and case resolution practices.
- Promote and monitor the adoption of employee self-service tools ensuring content is clear accurate and accessible.
- Lead and contribute to HR projects and standardization efforts that improve consistency efficiency and user experience across geographies.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a key liaison between GOT and other EEO workstreams ensuring alignment on shared initiatives and consistent delivery across the People Function.
- Partner with peers to identify and act on opportunities for process simplification and innovation across HR delivery.
- Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders through updates and proactive communication
Communication & Engagement
- Support internal communication and change management efforts related to new tools processes or policy updates.
- Plan and deliver training sessions for employees and People Operation Advisors to enhance system usage compliance and understanding of HR processes.
Skills & Abilities
- 10 years of experience in HR operations and generalist roles within large international organizations leading teams
- Solid understanding of end-to-end HR service delivery; payroll and works council experience is a strong advantage
- Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing diverse distributed teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization
- Skilled in coaching motivating and developing individuals to reach their full potential
- Passionate about delivering high-quality employee experiences even in high-volume environments
- Strong customer focus with a continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to operational excellence
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with shifting priorities
- Demonstrated experience in leading or supporting change initiatives and driving process improvements
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; able to foster trust cooperation and team cohesion
- Skilled in conflict resolution influencing without authority and managing diverse stakeholder expectations
- Focused on delivering outcomes within agreed timelines and scope with low tolerance for delays or deviations
- Analytical and process-oriented with a strong eye for efficiency accuracy and system optimization
