Oracle STP

Position Summary
The position requires very good knowledge and hands-on skills in Oracle Communications STP /
EAGLE STP / vSTP including SS7 SIGTRAN MTP SCCP TCAP MAP GTT linksets routes
screening and signaling traffic management. The candidate should be capable of supporting
production operations troubleshooting complex signaling issues executing approved MOPs
preparing RCA and working with Oracle TAC / Engineering and customer teams.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Managed Services leadership team the consultant will be responsible for:
Provide technical support and managed services for Oracle STP / EAGLE STP / vSTP and
associated signaling network products.
Monitor platform health alarms signaling links routes linksets traffic status capacity
utilization and service availability.
Perform troubleshooting for SS7/SIGTRAN issues including link failures routing issues GTT
failures SCCP errors MTP congestion association failures and signaling traffic abnormalities.
Support day-to-day operations including incident management service restoration problem
management change management and escalation handling.
Execute approved MOPs for configuration changes routing updates linkset changes planned
maintenance upgrades patching and customer-specific activities.
Prepare and maintain operational documents such as SOPs MOPs RCA reports health check
reports KPI reports maintenance reports and customer governance updates.
Perform preventive maintenance backup validation capacity checks alarm review log analysis
and platform health checks.
Work closely with customer operations teams Oracle TAC Engineering and internal
stakeholders to resolve technical issues within agreed SLA.
Support 24x7 operations on-call rotation shift handover and critical incident bridges as required.
Analyze recurring issues and recommend service improvement actions to enhance platform
stability and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with customer processes change windows security guidelines and managed
services delivery standards.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Oracle Communications STP / EAGLE STP / vSTP operations.
Good understanding of SS7 and SIGTRAN protocols.
Hands-on experience with MTP2 MTP3 SCCP TCAP MAP M3UA SUA and related
signaling concepts.
Experience in GTT configuration linkset/routeset management signaling screening and traffic
troubleshooting.
Ability to analyze logs alarms traces and KPI reports.
Experience in telecom managed services NOC/L2/L3 support incident handling and
customer-facing operations.
Good documentation skills for RCA MOP SOP and technical reports.
Ability to work in 24x7 support model and handle critical customer escalations.
Good to Have
Knowledge of DSR SDS Diameter PCRF SBC or other Oracle Communications
products.
Experience with virtualized/cloud-based telecom platforms.
Understanding of telecom core network architecture across 3G 4G and 5G.
Experience with ticketing tools SLA governance and managed services reportin
