Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Retail POS Architect with 13 years of experience and strong expertise in Oracle Retail POS Suite Core/Advanced Java enterprise architecture integrations cloud technologies and retail systems.
The candidate will work closely with key stakeholders business analysts and engineering teams to define solution architecture design scalable applications and ensure reliable backend integrations for a global commerce environment.
The Architect will be responsible for translating business and technical requirements into scalable resilient and implementable solutions while providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
Define and lead solution architecture aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.
Provide strategic technical guidance to multiple engineering teams.
Design high-performing scalable reliable and resilient applications and services.
Define end-to-end system architecture covering applications integrations databases APIs and infrastructure.
Translate business requirements and conceptual solutions into detailed technical designs.
Design and oversee backend integrations using appropriate integration and messaging patterns.
Support application development implementation and configuration activities.
Maintain current-state and future-state architecture documentation.
Collaborate with Business Analysts to define and refine technical requirements.
Provide effort estimation and technical guidance for development and QA activities.
Participate in architecture reviews technology assessments audits and design discussions.
Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) for emerging technologies and architectural approaches.
Research and evaluate technologies tools and frameworks for product development.
Promote reusable frameworks components standards and best practices across teams.
Design solutions using microservices and event/message-driven architectures.
Guide teams in designing cloud-native fault-tolerant and highly available solutions.
Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior and senior engineers.
Support operational readiness monitoring application support and production stability.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends particularly within retail technology and cloud architecture.

Mandatory Skills
13 years of overall IT experience with strong relevant experience in POS systems.
4 years of experience in Solution/Technical Architecture.
8 years of experience with Oracle Retail POS Suite including:
Oracle Xstore
Xenvironment
Xadmin
Xcenter
XServices
OpChain Framework
Oracle Database
7 years of hands-on experience with:
Core Java / J2SE
Advanced Java / J2EE
Strong experience in system architecture application design and enterprise integrations.
Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Experience with event-driven and messaging architectures including Pub/Sub and queuing.
2 years of experience with CI/CD tools such as:
GitLab
Jenkins
GitHub Actions
Similar tools
3 years of experience designing/managing cloud solutions.
Strong understanding of cloud concepts including:
Container services
Serverless architecture
High availability
Infrastructure
AWS experience is preferred.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with front-end technologies such as:


Angular
or equivalent frameworks.
Experience designing scalable resilient and fault-tolerant cloud-native solutions.
