Job Summary
We are looking for a who will:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a technically related field or equivalent professional experience.
- 5 years of experience
- Strong experience in Mainframe Batch Operations Managing complex batch flows in scheduling tools such as CA-7 TWS/OPC/IZWS is highly desired.
- Strong knowledge of JCL SDSF ISPF CA7 TWS/OPC/IZWS VSAM Cobol and troubleshooting when Batch jobs abend. Ability to represent ops teams in crisis calls provide batch status updates etc.
- May lead the design and implementation of operational strategies including system architecture and infrastructure planning.
- Proactively identify areas for system improvement automation and optimization.
- Manage and resolve critical incidents conduct post-incident analysis and drive long-term reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure best practices for deploying and maintaining software applications.
- Act as a subject matter expert in system reliability and provide training to junior engineers
- This position may involve periodic weekend support to ensure operational continuity and successful delivery of business-critical initiatives. Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when necessary is expected.
