Through a system of intelligent AI agents Oolka helps users track improve and manage their credit health with confidence.

About the role

This is Oolkas first design leadership hire.

Youll have the opportunity to define the product experience design culture and quality standards for a company building AI-first financial products for millions of users.

Were looking for someone who enjoys being close to the work while also helping build and mentor a growing design team. Youll work closely with founders product leaders and engineers to shape both product strategy and execution.

What youll do

• Own product design from discovery through execution.

• Shape the vision and experience for Oolkas core products and future initiatives.

• Conduct user research and turn insights into product opportunities.

• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to influence product direction.

• Design intuitive AI-powered experiences that build trust and clarity.

• Establish and maintain a high bar for design quality across the company.

• Build scalable design foundations systems and processes.

• Mentor designers and help grow the design team over time.

• Contribute to hiring and building a strong design culture.
  

What were looking for

• A hands-on design leader who enjoys staying close to the craft this role is roughly 60% product design and 40% team leadership.

• 712 years of product design experience building and shipping consumer products at scale.

• Strong B2C product intuition and a deep understanding of user behaviour.

• Excellent product thinking problem-solving and systems thinking skills.

• Exceptional visual design craft with a high bar for quality and attention to detail.

• Experience conducting user research and translating insights into product decisions.

• Proven ability to collaborate closely with Product Engineering and Leadership teams.

• Curiosity about AI and excitement for designing AI-native consumer experiences.

• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment with high ownership and autonomy.

An introductory discussion to understand your background motivations and alignment with the role.

2) Round 2 - Take-home Design Assignment

A focused assignment based on the Oolka app expect to dig into the product form a point of view on the user journey and present your thinking. This isnt about heavy lifting; its about curiosity intent and how you approach a real problem. If youre genuinely excited about the role this is your chance to show it.

3) Round 3 - Product leadership discussion

A deeper conversation around product thinking leadership experience and how you approach solving complex problems.
