Role Overview
Ground Zero is seeking an Officer People Operations (HRBP) to serve as the on-ground HR partner for operations in Uttar Pradesh. Based in Lucknow this role collaborates closely with state leadership to implement people processes drive employee engagement and manage HR operations across field teams. The position involves regular district travel to address employee needs support team expansion and resolve day-to-day HR matters while ensuring alignment with central HR policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Business Partnering & Field Connect
- Act as the primary HR contact for employees and managers across state operations.
- Conduct regular field visits across district locations to build employee connect identify concerns and strengthen retention.
- Guide managers on employee relations workplace issues and effective policy communication.
2. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Coordinate day-to-day operations across joining onboarding transfers confirmations and separations in coordination with central HR.
- Assist managers and staff with leave attendance payroll inputs and HRMS data maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with organizational HR policies and resolve general employee queries promptly.
3. Recruitment & Workforce Expansion
- Support state expansion by coordinating end-to-end local hiring including sourcing interviews selection documentation and onboarding.
- Maintain visibility over district staffing needs open vacancies and manpower planning.
4. Performance Engagement & Development
- Assist managers in executing performance processes goal setting reviews and feedback interventions.
- Gather field insights to support local engagement employee experience and retention initiatives.
- Identify training needs during field interactions and coordinate capability-building solutions with central teams.
5. HR Compliance Reporting & Data Management
- Ensure adherence to HR policies statutory standards and confidential record-keeping.
- Track state HR metrics including headcount attrition and recruitment status to prepare updates for review meetings.
- Support internal HR audits and escalate significant employee relations or policy issues appropriately.
Qualifications & Competencies
Masters degree in HR Business Administration Social Sciences or a related field (Postgraduate HR qualification preferred).
Experience
47 years in HR Operations or HRBP with a preference for field-based multi-location or development sector experience.
